The Faint have announced that their new album will not be released via their long-time label Saddle Creek. Instead they have set up their own, to be known by the name blank.wav.
This marks the second major artist to eschew the label recently, the first being Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst who has announced that his new album (to be released under his own name as opposed to his alter ego of 'Bright Eyes') will have its release handled by Merge Records.
