Yeasayer, along with Vampire Weekend are just about the two most hyped bands of 2008. Yet with such great hype, comes great responsibility.

And the bare facts are, that both Vampire Weekend and Yeasayer have not yet quite delivered on all their promise.

This weekend, the live dimension of Yeasayer is held up to scrutiny, and although songs such as '2080' are rapturously received, you can't help but feel the thronging crowd leaving the arena just a little bit flat.

With little crowd interaction, other than to say "Hi, we're from Brooklyn", Yeasayer will need to work hard to make sure they don't go down as that band from 2008.
