Alice Glass - front-woman with (c)hiptune duo Crystal Castles - evidently does not know what a stage is.
It was a rare occurrence to see her use it, since she spent the vast majority of the band's set tangled with the adoring masses below. For all their reputation as uncouth womanisers, the fine lads of the North resisted the temptation to have themselves a quick fondle: so well done boys (and possibly girls too), your parents would be proud.
There are all manner of metaphors which could be used to described the fervent madness of the baying crowds, eagerly reclaiming Glass as one of their own in one huge symbiotic organism gradually working themselves up to what the knights who don't say "ni" call that previous noun.
Clad in an all-black, figure hugging ensemble. She captivated the attention to the extent that we have no damn idea what on earth the other guy was doing. We're sure he was present... maybe.
So in short, baying audience, hot girl, captivating collisions of electro and noise. Show us the bad and we'll show you a fool.
Great photos. CC are incredible live.
