The audience of a band should never be the most interesting thing about a live show, and yet that is how things transpired tonight at Stubb's.
To the right of the stage eagle-eyed punters spotted Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell observing proceedings from behind (and to the side of) the sound desk.
There was an air of enthusiasm tonight, sadly though, this came mostly from the press area, the buzz surrounding the band clearly stirring them all to capture what could be “the next big thing”. Although the response to “Time To Pretend” and “Pieces of What” were well received by all, for the rest of the set there was very much a cloud of over-hype shadowing the band.
That they took to the stage looking like a tribute act to Aerosmith is similarly unlikely to help gather them new fans via their live shows.
