SxSW 2008 Live: Tapes 'n Tapes

SxSW has the power to create buzz, or equally to leave it limping, banged-up and struggling for air in the squalid remains of its once beautiful home.

Minnesotan quartet Tapes 'n Tapes already had a fair amount of praise being heaped upon their name and their set at the Cedar Door, although likely to confuse newcomers as to what the big deal is, was largely a grand follow through for fans.

Perhaps the outdoor venue was not particularly well-suited to the band, leaving their sound somewhat indistinct, but those who had managed to gain access nodded stoically in approval. Oddly enough, those relegated to watching from behind the canvas covered perimeter fence seemed even more enthused.
