Frank Turner is one of the most affable stage presences and so its no surprise that his slot as part of the British Music Embassy he plays the role of music ambassador to perfection.

The assembled crowd tonight are enthusiastic, but most are probably hearing this material for the first time. That's not to say that Frank Turner's infectious sing-along anthems are not as contagious here in Austin as elsewhere - the favourites tonight are 'The Real Damage', 'Long Live The Queen' and 'The Ballad of Me and My Friends'.

As he informed us tonight this is the first time he has met his supporting band and it's remarkable that despite the lack of rehearsal time everything sounds so fluid. Frank Turner brings the set to a close by playing an excellent cover of The Postal Service's 'District Sleeps Tonight' along with the inevitable closer, The Ballad of Me and My Friends.
