Here in the Central Presbyterian Church 4AD are showcasing their bands, the mesmerising cross that forms the backdrop to the shows seems to be an attempt at invoking The Almighty's approval for the comparatively miniscule musicians on stage.

Of all the band's on the stage tonight St Vincent feel most at home in the setting. The assembled musicians create an orchestral feel that fills out to engulf the massive volume of this building.

St Vincent's blend of soft centred guitar music and semi-jazz-like meanderings make for a welcome addition to the 4AD roster. The audience here tonight observe in hushed appreciation for the duration of the set which hints that the upcoming album 'Actor' may be one to watch.
