It's been three years since they made complete tits of themselves after picking up the Mercury Music Prize, but after all the drama, the drugs and their label decrying the new record as "non-commercial", Klaxons have finally given us their first new material in what seems like ages.
And you'll be glad to know on first impressions it's rather good.
“We were an art project that got out of hand,”says bassist Jamie Reynolds “but now we are a band.”
And that they are. There's still the unique trademark flashes of pop, but with an extra dose of guitar and a piano thrown into the mix. This has certainly surprised us somewhat.
