As every music fan within a 2,000 mile radius is probably aware, Arctic Monkeys are releasing their third studio album on August 24th (click HERE if you happen to live outside that radius) and as of right now, you can hear the first single release from it.
The song is titled Crying Lightning (again, our news of it can be seen HERE) and plays on the bands darker personality. It's nothing jaw-dropping but we like the rhythm and more mature theme and we find that it's almost hard to dislike them nowadays, now that they've grown up and everything.
The single is said to be released physically on August 17th, just one week before the LP's release date but it became available as an iTunes download as of yesterday (July 6th).
It shows a small glimpse of hope for the upcoming LP Humbug and we're still crossing our fingers that somehow, producer of the new record and QOTSA frontman Josh Homme has turned these guys into something exciting to witness once again.
