If you somehow haven't heard of Chicago's The Sea And Cake yet - they are a post rock band with a tinge of jazz thrown in to the mix for an all around easy listening and upbeat sound.

The band took a short break between 2004 - 2007 but came back in style with the album Everybody which made some waves towards the tail-end of 2007.

The band have wasted no further time and are about to release a new album - Car Alarm on Thrill Jockey this October. 'Weekend' is its lead single, and we have it featured below.

'Weekend' maintains The Sea And Cake sound, although certainly touting its post rock roots.
