Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.
Los Angeles quintet Local Natives released their fantastic début album 'Gorilla Manor' late last year - which we thoroughly enjoyed - and are following that up with a new video for track two off of the LP by the name of 'Airplanes'.
The eerie, Mark Waring-directed video combines real-time and stop-motion effects to deliver a strangely unique visual experience as we witness photos of the band in a ramshackle house that slowly but surely come to skeletal life. Then, without warning, everything begins to move. There's something endearing and fitting in how the music works so well against the video but don't take our word for it, check it out yourself just below and let us know what you think.
Whilst Gorilla Manor was released here in the UK last year, it's still not due in the US until February 16th through their new label home of French Kiss Records.
Awesome video. Awesome band.
I also saw these guys a few months ago and they were rather spectacular.
