Twelve years after both artists paired-up to form the hip-hop duo Blackstar, Mos Def and Talib Kweli are finally back together in the new video for Def's old-school track 'History'.

The song is lifted from the man's latest return-to-form long-player The Ecstatic and accentuates both rapper's lyrical dexterity behind the mic when they put their mind to it. 

A gentle vocal sample repeats cooly in the background as Def and Kweli work wonders over the top. Both main verses are equalled in their finesse but Def notches up some extra kudos in the last thirty seconds with a breathless multi-syllabic final sprint.

Visually, the accompanying video is easy-watching as both aging stars wander around, following the track's flow and looking respectively dapper all the while.
