The first North American single to be taken from The Mars Volta's latest album 'Octahedron' (the European single was Cotopaxi) is Since We've Been Wrong, the intro track from the new LP.

The song has been given a rather brilliant video and though it's simply just the band recording in the studio, the song creates a rather eery, almost juxtaposed atmosphere. The individual members each respectively rock-the-hell-out but behind such a mellow, acoustic, haunting track, the imagery seem almost unsettled and oddly absorbing.

Since We've Been Wrong was an immediate favorite from the new record (Which we rather liked, check our review of it HERE) and shows the collective in a fragile light instead of in millions of multi-coloured, ever changing, ever flashing, pandemonium of progressive, jazz, warped, ten minute...OK we've lost ourselves.
