Mike Skinner aka The Streets (plus some guests now and then) released his latest album Everything Is Borrowed back in 2008 and though it was less "grimey"than previous efforts, it held a newfound life-affirming glow that was both surprising and welcomed.
One of the strongest tracks off of the LP was this exact song here; The Edge Of A Cliff and it now has a video to accompany it.
A soft, melancholic beat follows Skinners honest vocals as he tells the story of a man close to ending his life and the change he endures when visited by a philosophical old man. (A tale not unlike Skinners recent years in the lime-light).
The video is fantastically shot and holds an underlying sub-text as its focal point. The subtle changes the main character goes through is fantastically portrayed and its always cool to see Skinner with a Bon Iver-esque beard.
We personally rate this track and its intriguing video, especially considering it's coming from someone who potentially sold out three albums into their career (The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living was devoid of any memorable moments in all honesty) so check it out and let us know what you think.
