!!! Drummer Dies In Lift Tragedy

Jerry Fuchs, drummer with various bands such as !!! (commonly pronounced 'chk chk chk'), Maserati, The Juan MacLean and Turing Machine has died after falling to his death during a lift malfunction.

We'll resist the urge to start cracking , remembering that he has family.

The incident took place at a benefit party in Williamsburg (Brooklyn, New York) after Fuchs and a friend enter one of the building's lifts. Following a technical malfunction, the two pried open the lift doors and attempted to jump from the lift to the nearest floor, over the chasm which lay below. His friend made the jump, Fuchs was not fortunate [puts on sunglasses]... looks like somebody got shafted.

Friends of the drummer have lined up to offer tributes to the much-loved man, especially those who had the privilege of working with him:

Juan MacLean writes: "Jerry was one of my best and most loyal friends. He was hands-down the best drummer I have ever played with or seen for that matter."

Maserati write: "We are humbled to have been able to create music with you for all these years, Jerry. You will be missed more than words can express. We love you, bro."

Fuchs was just 34 years-old at his death.
