The 4AD label has announced three new bands that haveÂ officiallyÂ signed toÂ theirÂ ever growing roster of bands.

The Big Pink, Broken Records and Camera Obscura have all signedÂ theirÂ soul away to the label and are all expected to release albums this year. The Big Pink and Broken Records are both releasing debuts whereas Camera Obscura are releasing the follow-up to their acclaimed 2006 release Lets Get Out Of This Country.

As more and moreÂ independentÂ labels face the cut due to the current economicalÂ climate, we predict this is only the start of up and coming bands signing to bigger, beefier labels in 2009.Â
