Scottish indie band The Twilight Sad who were responsible for the phenomenally well-received album "Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters" last year have announced its follow-up.
A mini-album entitled "Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did" will be the bands next foray into release world. It will comprise six tracks, two of which are never-before-released songs.
Also featuring on the mini-album, to be released in 12" and digital download, are re-workings of three tracks from the aforementioned debut album. "And She Would Darken the Memory", "Cold Days from the Birdhouse" and "Mapped by what Surrounded Them" will all receive a spruce-up. Guitarist Andy MacFarlane explains, "We wanted to record re-worked versions of some songs from 'Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters' as we felt there was another side to some of them that worked just as well as the originals."
The final track rounding out the release will be a cover of the Daniel Johnston song, "Some Things Last a Long Time".
"Here It Never Snowed, Afterwards It Did" will be released on June 9th.
