In an interview with 'BBC6 Music', it seems that none other than Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford let slip that Arcade Fire were currently recording their third studio album.
In an interview, Marcus spoke about Markus Dravs, producer of their fantastic début Sigh No More as well Arcade Fire's 2007 follow-up L.P Neon Bible. During the conversation, he tentatively explained that Dravs was currently busy with Arcade Fire once again.
"I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this but yeah, he’s [Dravs] working on the next Arcade Fire record at the moment. I’m sure that’s public knowledge, because he’s been there for about six months. I keep asking Markus how it’s going and he’s like, 'Yeah, it’s okay', and I’m like, 'What are the songs like?' And he goes, 'Better'."
So there you have it, a pretty firm confirmation of a new AF record in the works. 2010 just keeps sound better and better doesn't it?
