Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood is keen to get a collaboration going with Band of Horses after seeing the Indie darlings perform a cover version of his solo song "Act Together".

"Band of Horses" made an appearance Tuesday night (Dec 4) on Later... with Jools Holland, the same show which Wood was appearing on. After catching wind of the band's plan, he introduced himself to the boys. Post-performance, Wood listened back to the cover version and was suitably impressed.

A phone call was arranged between Wood and B.O.H keyboardist Ryan Monroe where the Rolling Stone extended his declaration of love for their performance and expressed his desire to perform a collaboration with the band at a future date.

Plans are currently in motion...

I've been loving Band of Horses' version of 'Act Together' for ages. It would be loads of fun to see them perform with Ronnie Wood, wouldn't it? Brillant, really.
