Imagine what it's like to die every single night of your life! For you see, it's only when we teeter on the edge, that we can be saved. Whoever we are, from whichever walk of life, we all secretly dream of being a hero, and that's what I do. I create heroes!
This is the world that Ben Kweller has just entered. The world of "Choke" (U.S theatres Sep. 26) where Victor Mancini - a sex addict perpetually stuck on that fourth step to recovery - dines out in style every night, only for the delicacies to become lodged in his throat. You see, people, are very generous when they think they've saved you. Regardless, it saves Mancini from having to work extra hours at the colonial America re-enactment village.
The film, based on a novel by Chuck Palahniuk ('Fight Club') and directed by Clark Gregg ('New Adventures of Old Christine') has put the soundtrack - including Kweller's contribution "The Rules" - up for sale on iTunes. Featuring tracks by Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie and numerous other bands who are written in the tracklisting below if you can make it that far. If you need further persuading, a new video clip of the film has surfaced featuring the aforementioned Kweller song, "The Rules".
