Having experienced a sudden coming to prominence in 2008, (via a chance meeting with Diplo we are told) South Africa’s BLK JKS have been announced as the latest signing to Secretly Canadian.

The label will be releasing the band’s Mystery EP on CD and 12” on March 9th. The track ‘Lakeside’ (stream below) is enough to merit some real excitement… that’s some drummer rat-a-tatting under there.

The record was produced by Brandon Curtis of Secret Machines at New York’s Electric Lady Studios but has apparently been re-mastered and re-sequenced for this release.

Hopes are high at Strange Glue for a BLK JKS tour of our drizzled isle…
