Kele Okereke, frontman and lead vocalist for indie-rock-turned-indie-dance English collective Bloc Party may well be recording his very own solo album according to an interview on Sunday night with music-producer Hudson Mohawk.

Mohawk, real name Ross Birchard, sat down with BBC 1Xtra and had a few things to say about his upcoming projects. During the interview, he let slip some info about a possible solo album from Okereke himself. He said:

"Im kinda... it hasn't been finalized yet, but I'm also kinda doing a little bit of stuff for Kele from Bloc Party's solo album as well. He's doing a record with one of the guy's from Spank Rock, so possibly gonna be doing some stuff for that."

Spank Rock are a popular American rap group that includes producer Armani XXXChange, a name that is currently hot on the list of 'names to include on an album'.

No other news about the record was revealed so we'll be sure to keep you updated on any whispers as they surface. It kind of makes sense though, especially after what Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong had to say about his poisiton within the band.
