A double CD compilation record spanning Blurs mid-career material is set to be released this year.

The album will consist of 25 tracks in total and will hit store shelves on June 15th. It's simply titled Midlife: A Beginners Guide To Blur.

The press release explained the reasoning behind the CD, stating: "the collection has been designed as an introduction for those who might have missed out on Blur's prolific recording career"

Missed out? On Blur? Hmm, sounds a little too much like an easy tie-in for a bit more Summer cash but still, it's probably going to be a pretty awesome record. The release also marks the first Blur compilation album in nine years (Their Best Of was released way back in 2000).
