Blur have given their web-friendly London-based fans a chance to catch them playing live and a secret location tonight to celebrate the release of their new compilation album 'Midlife'.
Graham Coxon started the commotion via (where else) his Twitter account. A short missive was fired off stating "mornin all! "midlife..." is out today and to celebrate we're gonna play some songs in london! ITS FOR REAL. look! http://www.blur.co.uk/"
A short trip to Blur's official website revealed that the first 170 fans to reach the Brixton Academy Box Office from 11am this morning (June 15) would get a chance to see the band perform live, although it's stressed that the band will not be playing at the Academy itself... unless they are, and it's a bluff..
The recently reunited band played their first concert together in nearly ten years last weekend in Colchester.
