Clinic Get Arcade Fire Gig

19th July 2007 | by Gavin Riley

Clinic have been given the prestigious support slot alongside Arcade Fire this autumn, which is when the Canadians embark upon their U.K arena tour.

The band, who have spent the past ten years playing some darn good music, while donning surgical masks released a b-sides and rarities album last month called 'Funf', and have built up a hefty fanbase over the years.

Now they have a chance to further expand with Arcade Fire, who are known admirers of the Liverpool based band.

They'll play five of the scheduled seven dates, kicking off in Glasgow, before hitting Manchester, Newcastle and Cardiff, before wrapping up at the 17th November Alexandra Palace bash in London.

Here's Arcade Fire covering 'Distortions' by Clinic at May's show in Portland, but before that, the Clinic schedule as it looks:

28 July 2007 - Afisha Picnic, Moscow
18 Aug 2007 - The Green Man Festival, Brecon Beacons, Wales
29 Sep 2007 - L'Acqua In Testa, Rome
26 Oct 2007 - Glasgow SECC, Glasgow (Supporting Arcade Fire)
27 Oct 2007 - MEN Arena, Manchester (Supporting Arcade Fire)
29 Oct 2007 - Newcastle Arena, Newcastle (Supporting Arcade Fire)
