Cymbals Eat Guitars Take On New Bassist

Fresh from their energetic (and loud) set at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York last week, Cymbals Eat Guitars have decided upon a quick bassist swap before continuing to tour their little souls out.

Neil Berenholz has been replaced by Matthew Whipple and according to the bands publicist (via Pitchfork), Berenholz left because he simply 'didn't like touring'. Fair enough.

Lets hope Whipple does like touring as the band have a slew of dates lined up for the rest of the year including dates in New York at the end of October, UK in November and other European dates carrying on into December. 

They manage to pair up with The Antlers, The Dodos and The Flaming Lips along their journeys so check below for the full tour schedule.
