Damon Albarn Announces New Project and Album

Damon Albarn has announced the details of his latest project which comprises an opera and a new album which has been recorded in Europe and China.

The project is part of a BBC commission which ties up with the Beijing Olympics this year, with its lyrics based on ancient Chinese texts.

The opera opens tonight at The Royal Opera House in London and the album is due to be released in August. The tracklisting will be as follows:
