Usually when band's want to make an appearance on a TV show, they just turn up at the local music venue, completely ignoring the fact that a band of their popularity have no business showing up at a dive in a town with a population to rival their band membership.
Tokyo Police Club, though, will be actually immersed into the plot of a forthcoming episode of Desperate Housewives as they compete in a 'battle of the bands' competition against a newly formed troupe comprising the men of the show (James Denton, Doug Savant, Kyle MacLachlan, Ricardo Antonio Chavira, and Neal McDonough).
Hopefully the plot will involve some dirty tricks, scorching riffs and the majority of the band entering the sexy boudoirs of the housewives. It seems that since the Police Club boys will also be filming speaking roles for the show, any of the aforementioned is a possibility.
They were on set yesterday and today, hard work considering they are right in the middle of a tour with Weezer and Angels and Airwaves at this present moment in time.
The episode featuring the boys is called "Kids Ain't Like Everybody Else" and airs October 12, 2008 on ABC.
