Five long years ago, 'Devendra Banhart', 'Joanna Newsom' and 'Vetiver' decided to pack up their things and head out on a Freak-Folk Tour like no other.
The entire journey was documented by Currituck Co. frontman and sometimes Vetiver member Kevin Barker and the film has now been given a name, The Family Jams and is being released as a documentation of the trio's journey this year.
The film shows all of the artists playing their music live as well as much more intimate material of the artists on the road and their general tour antics. What's great is that all of them travel in just one, rather small van instead of an overblown, million dollar tour bus.
This really does look like a great movie and looks ridiculously enjoyable for fans of any of the artists. We've featured the trailer for your viewing pleasure so take a look and let us know what you think of it below.
The Family Jams will be have its public debut at The Sarasota Film Festival on April 2nd and 3rd.
