'Indefinite Hiatus'. Two words that fill every music fan with dread. Two words which if uttered by your other half would be something similar to: "I want to see other people".

The point is that both the band and your other half are very unlikely to come back.

However, we're delighted with the news that Brighton's post-punk revivalists Electrelane have come crawling back promising to play Field Day 2011 and a few other festivals, their first live gigs since going on 'indefinite hiatus' in December 2007.

They're one of many lining up to appear at this year’s Field Day Festival, held at Victoria Park in London on August 6th

The line up includes Wild Beasts, Gruff Rhys and Mark Kozelek amongst others.
