Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim has been named as one of the headliners for this year's O2 Wireless Festival which has been whittled (not slimmed) down to just one location this year.

The Leeds leg of the festival has been shelved for 2008, but the Hyde Park leg remains intact and indeed, extended. Within the next couple of days we'll be able to give you more information on the other headliners.

Supporting the Fatboy on Saturday July 5th will be Underworld and Bootsy Collins, among others.

Fatboy Slim is also down to play this year's Rockness Festival, alongside The Cribs, The View and CSS, as well as the Big Beach Boutique in Brighton in September.

The series of one day events included the White Stripes, Daft Punk and the Kaiser Chiefs last year.

This year's event takes place between Thursday July 3rd to Sunday July 6th. Tickets go on sale to pre-registered members of the O2 network on February 18th, before a general sale commences from 9am on February 20th.
