First Bands Announced For SxSW 2010

Austin's South By Southwest Festival, the annual trendsetting festival that dictates what music you'll be listening to next year has revealed the first round of acts to play next March.

There's no jaw drop inducing bands just yet (like the Decemberists from last year), but some of the stand-out names include our very own Frightened Rabbit, Fanfarlo, Everything Everything and (our we wish they weren't our own) The View as well as some of the finest up-and-coming acts around the world. Japandroids, Deer Tick and Warpaint are just some of the early names making the grade.

The music festival takes place between 17th and 21st March and as usual Strange Glue will be there to cover it in full, with live reviews, exclusive interviews and a whole host of content to bring 2010 truly alive.

Oh and it nicely coincides with Paddy's day too. Seriously how could this festival be any better.
