Usually a headline will only offer the merest hint at the contents of a story, subtly suggesting what lies in wait for you should you decide to continue in your desire to read on. This time around, what you see is what you get.

Scottish art-punks Franz Ferdinand have been the latest victim of Big Brother after a three-quarters-of-a-minutes worth of footage of them performing a new song was leaked onto the trusty internet.

The footage, which sees the band jamming under some kind of stage shows that despite their assurances otherwise, that they're still very much a guitar-based band, and all this nonsense about synths should be taken with a grain of limestone.
