The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has revealed in an interview that he has "no idea" if and when The Strokes will be re-entering the recording studio.

Hammond Jr is currently finishing up work on his second solo album, the follow up to 2006's "Yours to Keep". However, when questioned about the current status of The Strokes, he said "I just have no idea when we're going to do anything."

"We definitely talk about things," says Hammond Jr. "I just have learned that, unless there's something in concrete that we've all decided, then I can't really say anything... It wouldn't be my place; it would be our place as a group. So, I've gotta leave that as 'everything's great.'"

Fans can, however, look forward to the release of his second album in the Spring of next year.
