Grinderman have announced plans to release a new studio album later this summer.

‘Grinderman 2’ is due out on September 13 and will be released in Europe via Mute Records.

Recorded in various London studios, it was co-produced by the band and Nick Launay, who also mixed the project.

Meanwhile Nick Cave and co. will spend the autumn plugging the new record across Europe. The tour begins in September, starting with five UK dates.

Tickets go on sale on this Friday (May 28) at 9am.

Grinderman will play:

  • 27 Sep 2010 - Leeds, University
  • 28 Sep 2010 - Glasgow, Barrowlands
  • 29 Sep 2010 - Manchester, Academy
  • 01 Oct 2010 - London, Hammersmith Apollo
