From the ashes of Joy Division came New Order, and from the embers of New Order arrive Bad Lieutenant.

The suave press photos have been posted, the "super-group" press releases have been written. All we need now is some music to get our teeth into.

Which is where Myspace comes in - you can now stream their first single, entitled Sink Or Swim HERE. It's actually not too shabby if you preferred the Get Ready-era N.O.

The band, comprising of former New Order stalwart Bernard Sumner and former N.O guitarist Phil Cunningham have joined with Jake Evans (former Marion) for Bad Lieutenant's debut album. It was reported that Alex James would be a part of the "super-group" but he's failed to make it onto the aforementioned press shots, so either it's a guest role for the Blur man or Bernard thought he was too ugly.

Either way we're looking forward to the release of their self-titled debut album, which is due out October 5 via Triple Echo Records.
