Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.

Nintendocore quintet (yes, it's a genre) HORSE the Band have appeased us with some new information pertaining to their new album this autumn.

Going by the name of Desperate Living, it will be their fifth album: their first for Vagrant Records. The allotted release date is October 6, 2009 so grab your pens, grab your calendars and use your imagination as to what to do next.

The twelve-track set was recorded at White Buffalo Studios in Los Angeles with producer Noah Shain and includes several special guests. Among them are classical pianist Valentina Lisitsa, Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu, underground rapper K-SLAX, triangle player Ed Edge, and The Number 12 Looks Like You drummer, Jon Karel. Is anyone else amazed that you can play the triangle 'professionally'?
