No, it's not the flight attendants this time. They can keep their hands safe in the knowledge that the missing link has turned on his wife.

The former Stone Roses singer was arrested last night after allegedly assaulting his spouse, Fabiola Quiroz. The 46-year-old was arrested in west London and taken to a police station before being released on bail.

Brown married Quiroz, a Mexican model and actress around 10 years ago. The couple have a nine-year-old son named Emilio.

Scotland Yard issued a statement saying that police were called with reports of a disturbance at a residential address shortly after 8am yesterday morning. “On arrival," the statement continued "a 37-year-old woman made an allegation of domestic assault. A 46-year-old man was arrested at the address.”

Brown was bailed to return next month.
