Jaguar Love have posted an announcement on their site about the departure of drummer Jay Clark and the bands new-found sound.
The group released Take Me To The Sea to much acclaim last year but already it seems its time for a change as the post explains:
We are going to be touring as a two piece, playing to a drum machine. We will be playing only 3 songs from the record, (Highways of Gold, Bats over the Pacific, and Jaguar Pirates) but they sound a bit different now, it's almost like we remixed them and are playing the remixes.
The rest of the set will composed of new songs (Boom, Polariods and Red Wine, Evaline, I started a Fire, Ghost Party and Tricerisaurus-Hex) and a Minor Threat cover (Small Man, Big Mouth). The vibe of the new material is kind of Daft Punk meets New Order meets Black Flag.
This means that Jaguar Love now consists solely of ex-Blood Brothers members Cody Votolato and Johnny Whitney...Do you think the musical Gods are trying to tell these guys something or what?
What's your take on this? Let us know as always, down below.
Jay Clark was extremely talented. I saw these guys when Take Me To The Sea was released and it's a shame to see him go. I'm starting to think Jhonny must be a complete ass and impossible to work with... Infact, I'm sure of it.
