We love Jimmy Eat World. Despite the fact they sit in a genre of bands we'd quite like to bottle, it's hard not to remember with fondness their Mark Trombino-produced genre-hopping album Clarity or the ear candy melodies of Bleed American.

Ok, so Futures was average, and Chase This Light was a bit of a let-down, but happily - the Trombino is back!

The Arizona four-piece are reuniting with renowned producer Mark Trombino for their seventh studio album who coincidentally did not feature on the band's previous two efforts.

"We're very excited about Invented," said lead singer and guitarist Jim Adkins, "it was great reconnecting and creating an album with Mark Trombino, we can't wait for our fans to hear it."

The first you'll hear of the new record will be when the first single "My Best Theory" hits the airwaves in August. Although we suspect it might leak out before then. The album will be released via DGC/Interscope on September 28.

Invented marks the band's first studio album since 2007's Chase This Light which actually landed Jimmy Eat World's highest chart position of their career at #5 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.

Jimmy Eat World's last release may have been three years ago but they've been busy. The boys took a break from the recording of Invented to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of their influential album, Clarity with a sold out national tour.

Jimmy are currently putting the finishing touches on an autumn tour, watch this space for more details.
