La Route Du Rock Festival Announces First Names

The French Festival known as La Route Du Rock has confirmed its initial line-up for this year and already we're rather impressed.

 Running from August 14th-16th the festival takes place in the beautiful walled-in seaside town of St. Malo in Brittany (check the above image) and if we're honest, it looks like one the best places for a festival we've seen in a long time.

This years event has so far confirmed the mighty My Bloody Valentine, Tortoise, The Kills, Grizzly Bear, Telepathe, Andrew Bird and Camera Obscura to name a few.

In La Route Du Rock's healthy two decade lifespan, its stages have been graced by the likes of The National,  Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Mogwai and Sigur Ros.
