Latitude Festival has announced a very special guest to the line-up of the event taking place in Henham Park this July.
Radiohead front-man and indie poster boy the world over Thom Yorke will be playing a solo set on the Obelisk Arena at noon on Sunday. The organisers - Festival Republic - conjured up the noon-slot especially for Yorke to snag the very rare solo performance by the man.
Back in 2006 Yorke released his first solo album, ‘The Eraser’, which received a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.
Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic said:
"There is nothing I can add that Thom Yorke’s confirmation doesn't already say.
"That it is a special one off performance for Latitude only fills me with enormous pride at the statement it makes about the festival. I am overjoyed at the thought of it.”
Hosting four music arenas, the Obelisk, Uncut, Sunrise and The Lake Stage, Latitude will take place from July 16-19 at Henham Park in Southwold Suffolk. Weekend tickets cost £150 (plus booking fees) and include car parking and camping. Day tickets are also available.
