Our very favourite Scandinavian indie band Mew are finalising the details on a tour of North America to take place through the winter.

In addition to that, if you're in a band and are musically minded, you could win a chance to share a stage with the geniuses, since they are offering local bands the chance to win a support slot with them on the tour.

While little information is available on the competition page, it does list the cities which the offer will be open in, they are: Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

As for the people more inclined to want to stand beneath the stage with eyes rapturously savouring every detail, the full American tour dates are like so:
