Midlake Return With New Album, U.K & U.S Dates

Texas lo-fi indie-rockers Midlake have been wondering around the musical wilderness for three years now, but happy days are ahead - there is a new album in the works and a U.S and U.K tour planned for early next year.

Midlake's third album will be called 'The Courage Of Others' and will be released via Bella Union on February 1st, 2010 (February 2nd in North America). The artwork is featured above and the album has eleven tracks in all.

In a statement, guitarist Eric Pulido says, "We didn't want to make the same album as Van Occupanther, so we carried on moving and creating and pushing for a newer sound and emotion."

Sounds interesting.

Prior to the release, Midlake will head out on a few shows in America and the U.K with a full U.K tour promised for February 2010. Those dates are listed after the track list.
