Jim James and his merry band of miscreants, My Morning Jacket have lined up one of their most sizeable concerts to date to celebrate the recent release of "Evil Urges".

The boys will take over the famed venue of Madison Square Gardens on new year's eve for an extended concert of the "an evening with..." variety.

Trying to explain why we should all be purchasing tickets to said show, James explained, "The greatest thing about live music is that it's something you can't replicate. It's something very communal, and I think society is lacking that. People are so alienated and trapped in their little cubicles with their computers and texting devices. When you go to a big concert and you're in a room with a bunch of other humans, I think that's really healthy."

Tickets for the epic show will be available from all good, and many of the slightly shoddy outlets from June 27, 2008.
