Alt-rap/poet Sage Francis has always been something of a guilty pleasure to us here at SG and whilst he's made an equal amount of impressive and disappointing material over the years, his newest and next album sounds quite possibly like the best thing he's put his name to yet.

Bridging the gap between Rap and Indie-Rock even further, the man has roped in a different guest or guests to write the music for every song whilst he wrote the lyrics. It goes by the title Li(f)e and is due out on May 11th of this year through the Anti- label.

Ex-Grandaddy's Jason Lytle, Death Cab's Chris Walla, Yann Tiersen, members of DeVotchKa, Sparklehorse and Califone are all appearing throughout the twelve tracks so to say we're a little excited for this one is a bit of an understatement.

The track-listing and guest music-writers can all be seen below.

Li(f)e Track-Listing:

01 - Little Houdini (written by Sage Francis and Jason Lytle)
02 - Three Sheets to the Wind (written by Sage Francis and Chris Walla)
