In what is becoming a daily occurrence, another music festival has been scrubbed off the calendar.

Yes, the first major music festival set in Wales, the Fflam Festival, has been completely cancelled this year. Originally set for 13th to 15th July, the event was postponed with the aim of hosting the event in sunnier weather.

Placebo, Keane and the Manic Street Preachers were due to headline this years inaugural festival, however, in a statement today, organisers admitted defeat, and shelved the event all together.

They said: "After the initial postponement due to torrential weather conditions, we have made every possible effort to try and secure a new date for the festival this summer. Unfortunately, we cannot find a date that suits all parties and due to artist availability, we are not in a position to deliver the brilliant line-up of bands we always intended if we go ahead."

They vowed to return to Singleton Park, Swansea next year with an even better line up. Tickets purchased for this year's event will be refunded in full from the point of purchase.
