Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.

Bluesy rock duo The Black Keys consists of vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney. Together they make sometimes great, sometimes unispired rock but now Auerbach is testing the solo waters for a while.

Keep It Hid is out February 10 on Nonesuch Records and see's the man take the reins of all the instruments used and all the production and engineering duties. It also features contributions from Auerbach's uncle James Quine, Bob Cesare, and Jessica Lea Mayfield, who is signed to Auerbach's own Polymer Sounds label in the U.S.

Fear not though, The Black Keys are still alive and well, touring Europe, Australia and America over the next couple of months.

Auerbach will be touring the US solo just after the release of Keep It Hid.
