Patrick Wolf will be playing his only show of the year when he appears at the Love Music, Hate Racism carnival at Victoria Park, Hackney on Sunday 27th April.

The event also includes appearances from The Good The Bad The Queen, Hard-Fi and many more.

The carnival marks the 30th Anniversary of the Rock against Racism movement which was formed in reaction to rising xenophobia and racism fuelled by Nazi organisations like the National Front.

Explaining his reasons for making this his only event this year, Patrick Wolf said on a recent blog posting: "A certain group of the misinformed are using the immigration card to blindfold people into believing in them, to gain power to suppress our freedom.

"Why would any of us want to turn back over a century of hard graft and triumphs for equal rights for all us to be put down? Let's keep the freedom that our ancestors have strived so hard for. Long live liberty!
