Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.
Pavement news has been pretty much everywhere since they announced their reformation and subsequent tour plans early last month.
Whilst America get them for three days in New York's Central Park and we get them as the curators and headliners of next years ATP Festival, it's now been confirmed that Australia and New Zealand will get a rather tasty slice of Pavement pie too, and before everybody else as well.
Seven dates have been announced for the two countries in all and they begin in New Zealand on March 1st 2010. After just one date in NZ, the band move on to play six more dates in and around Australia, ending on March 12th in Melbourne.
Whilst it's a pity that we won't be hearing anything new from the band, it's still damn good to have them back, even if we do have to wait until next year to hear them on stage again.
The Australasian dates can be seen below.
